Nuttin Honey

We had a very peaceful weekend. Saturday we celebrated Keith's birthday in high style....Buckley's and Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Cake. We party like rock stars at the Norman's...don't be J!
Papa and Nee Nee came over for the weekend to help us celebrate. Jackson had a few wrastling sessions with Papa. Jackson gets so tickled he can't give Papa a proper smackdown. They are too funny. The best part is when they (Jackson & Evan) take their shirts off. Like that makes them stronger. Anywho, my work week starts tomorrow I'm tired already.
Hope all you lovely people have a wonderful week.

Sweet Nibblets...I've been Tagged!

My friend Leigh Ann has tagged me. This is my first tag, I have no idea if there's a proper way to do this. I just read her blog and saw that she had tagged me. List of things I love and hate.

Things I LOVE:

- my husband, kids, family

- dogs, puppies

- food: sweet, salty, high in fat, low in fat...you name it I love it in my mouth.

- napping on a rainy day

- babies in footed pajamas

- my friends, both near and far

- hearing my kids singing, making up their own words because they can't/don't understand what the real words are.

- laughing

- reading blogs, I'm so addicted

-having a girls weekend away at a Beth Moore conference

- coming home to a clean house

Things I HATE:

- when best friends move 419 miles away (L-O-R-I-E)

- when I raise my voice at my kids....I wish I had a mute button, I'm just naturally a loud person

- gaining weight

- when my husband stands over my shoulder and reads what I'm typing!

- frogs

- being tickled

- having car problems (dead battery, etc) when you have 3 kids locked, loaded and ready to go to church.

- going someplace new by myself

Man I could go on forever, on things I love and hate.....but these will do for now.

The only person I can think of to tag that might be reading this, would be my friend Christy, so tag your it.

See youins later!

Who's Boy are You?

Here is my boy...actually he's one of 2. My mom started asking him one day, "who's boy are you?" Of course she had to brainwash...I mean teach him to respond with, "Nana's Boy!"

Well, I don't think so. I had him saying he was mama's boy before the night had ended.

Here's the funny thing. Evan has learned all on his own to change his answer according to whose around. He's such a people pleaser. So now when you ask him, Who's boy are you? He might be
daddy's, mama's, nana's, mimi's, papa's, you just never know.

I don't care what he says, I know deep in my heart he will always be, Mama's boy!

Shoulda named her Grace

Emma has always been a little clumsy. She just can't seem to stand on her feet for very long.
We've been lucky thus far, we've had no broken bones, stitches, etc. We'll this saturday, she proved once again to be "Graceful"
She and Jackson were playing a game of tag and she took a nose dive into his bed. Thankfully, we did not have to have any stitches. Just a little TLC and neosporin.
The best part was Keith kept trying to get them to stop running around, and me with all my expert parenting skills said "oh just let them run, they're bored." Not 2 minutes after making that statement, I heard a big "TOLD YA SO!"
Guess I'll be eating some crow for a couple of weeks everytime someone asks, what happened?
Emma can just say, "Mama let me do it!"
Where's my "Rockin Mama" award?

The Big Game

Jackson had his first basketball game Monday night....Oh My Soul, was this entertaining.

We have played soccer for a couple of years now and he said he wanted to try basketball. He has seen High School Musical and I think he thought he was going to step out there and be Troy Bolton in the flesh.
I have the utmost respect for the coaches and ref's...they were so patient. It was like a circus.
But they had fun and that's the most important part.

I'm still standing

Well, last week was rough...I started working. It was fun, the babies are so precious and honestly I can't complain. Except for the fact that my rear were dragging come about 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
Some of you know I likes to take me a lil nap every now and then...okay everyday. It kinda of became a habit of sorts. My kids would nap, so I would nap. I know there are a begillion things I could be doing, but napping was so much more fun and relaxing.
So I'm learning to get by without the dear ol' nap, it wasn't too bad as long as I keep moving and not sit down for a minute.

I'm so gonna sleep the weekend away....ttfn!

I owe I owe, It's off to work I go!

Yes you read this correctly....I am going back to work. I never thought I would look forward to this day. A couple of months ago the director at the Mother's Day Out my kids go to approached about working on Tuesdays. I said sure, then she asked if I wanted to work full time (tues, wed, and thur) starting January...what the heck, why not. Emma is already there 3 days, Evan will come on Tues and Thurs. Wednesday he has a standing date with his Nana.
Here's the best part....I'm working in the baby room. AAAAHHHHHHH! I am beyond thrilled. I love me some babies. Especially the ones that I get to hug and cuddle and give back. I have been having some serious baby fever lately, so this is going to be a good fix for that.
I'm sure I will have some interesting stories to share. I'm sure I will be beyond tired as I am used to a daily naptime at home....hopefully not too tired to go shopping with the money I'll be making....MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY ....MY VERY OWN MONEY THAT I EARNED CHANGING OPP (other people's poop)
I'm off to work, wish me luck!

I'm a slacker

Okay so my last post was a few months ago...okay July, but who's counting. I think I got a little nervous about the whole "blogger" thing. I'm so shy and all. :)
I have no good excuse other than I'm just a slacker. I forget things all the time. For instance, according to my dad I forgot his birthday...in June. And apparently he's not over it yet.
I've apologized, I really felt bad. I just can't imagine that I forgot it.
So here's my toast to dear old Dad...

I'm thankful you were born some 60+ years ago.
Without you, there would be no me.
Without me, there would be no three.
Oh how boring my life would be.
Thanks for being such a forgiving ol' chap!

Hopefully I won't forget any other major events coming up this year.
